Vozrozhdenie Bank is a General Sponsor of the Fifth Moscow Easter Festival which runs from April 23 to May 9. This annual Festival began in May 2002 on the initiative of Valery Gergiev, General Director of the Mariinskiy Theatre, and Yuri Luzhkov, Mayor of Moscow. The Festival received the blessing of Alexei II, Patriarch of Moscow and All-Russia.
Although initially in Moscow the Festival is an All-Russian Festival and travels through many regional cities where Vozrozhdenie Bank is located. Its regional program covers 17 cities: Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Kolomna, Serpukhov, Dmitrov, Kashira, Hanty-Mansiysk, Murom, Vladimir, Suzdal, Vologda, Chelyabinsk, and Alexandrov.
The Festival is dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of Dmitry Shostakovich. The Festival presents an interesting and diverse program with participation of internationally known groups and performers, including soloists, orchestra and chorus of the Mariinskiy Theatre, as well as the groups from Russia, Georgia, Bulgaria and Ukraine. Within the framework of the Festival there will be symphony concerts, choral music, and bell ringing. One hundred and fourteen concerts will take place within the framework of the Festival.
For the first time in this year, choral concerts will take place in the largest cathedrals of Dmitrov, Kashira, Serpukhov and Kolomna. Charity concerts in Moscow City and in the Moscow Region are also included in the program.
