The leading international survey of Investor relations in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, the Thomson Reuters Extel Survey — Focus CIS 2008, gave Vozrozhdenie, as best bank, and Julia Vinogradova, as best IR professional, awards in their ceremony June 25, 2008. The Survey was carried out by Thomson Reuters in association with Interfax International Information Group in April and May this year. Vozrozhdenie Bank was considered to have the best and most transparent policies by major international investors who were surveyed. Julia Vinogradova, head of IR Department at Vozrozhdenie, was awarded as the best among IR professionals in the financial sector in the three countries.
Neil Withers, Advisor to Chairman of Bank Vozrozhdenie, and Julia Vinogradova participated in a round-table session “Best IR practices in CIS” at the “IR in CIS 2008 Forum”. During the session the Survey prize-winners shared the information about new IR tendencies of the year. Neil Withers remarked “Good relationships with investors, both directly and through the analysts of brokerage houses, are a key element in our strong policies of good corporate governance. Good IR is not an end in itself, but a result of Vozrozhdenie’s belief in protecting and enhancing the company’s value to shareholders. Profitability, strong internal controls and an effective Board of Directors are all required — investor relations can only tell the story. Fortunately for Vozrozhdenie, our fundamental story is very good and that makes IR easy.”
